DIVINE UNION, but make it practical..
Each partner taking full responsibility for their needs, desires, and experience AND being aware of how their needs, desires, and experience affects the other and the partnership.
DIVINE UNION, but make it practical..
Maturing your sex beyond kink, games, and performance-based turn-on; to a deep spiritual communion of souls that nourishes both partners deeply and goes so far beyond the collective ideas about what sex is supposed to be.
DIVINE UNION, but make it practical..
A relationship where each partner holds and tends to their inner little one and does not bring it into family decisions or discussions.
DIVINE UNION, but make it practical..
Understanding that a true partnership is greater than the sum of its parts.
DIVINE UNION, but make it practical..
Each partner putting themself first because each partner being full and nourished is what is most in service to the highest true.
DIVINE UNION, but make it practical..
Being willing to receive feedback and adjust when your partner has a legitimate complaint or concern.
DIVINE UNION, but make it practical..
Being truly honest. Trusting your partner with the truth. Not shying away from difficult conversations. Understanding that every time you lie, omit the truth, don’t speak what the truth, is putting an intimacy block between you and your partner.
Divine Union is not for the faint of heart.
It is not the default because it requires a very deep willingness to get uncomfortable and confront your deepest, most tender fears of rejection, abandonment, and losing of love.
This is why doing the work in a committed relationship is actually the short cut to spiritual growth.
But short cuts are always a little harder, steeper, and more harrowing.
Spiritual growth via relationship requires two practice partners that are up for the task.
This does not mean that if you have a partner who you believe “isn’t doing the work” (oh how often I have heard women say this about their male partners) that you should leave and find someone who is/does.
No, this means you stop looking over in that other lane and direct your attention right back to where your feet are planted.
Divine Union is so paradoxical.
Because it is all about partnership, and on another level it’s actually completely up to you.
I am a firm believer (and this was also very much my personal experience with relationship alchemy) that as you cultivate divine union in yourself, you will see that internal reorientation reflected in your external experience.
On a practical level this may look like the partner that was never interested in “doing the work”, doing the work on his own accord all the sudden.
I have seen this again and again. Women stop judging their partners and men in general and start taking responsibility for their own needs and desire and all of the sudden the men around them step up and show up.
If you are resentful in your partnership that is very much your problem, and it is not helping you or your partner.
You best figure out how to alchemize that stat if you desire divine union on any level.
[Continued]
You could take responsibility for your own needs and experience and it could also look like you leaving your relationship to find a better suited partner.
But it would not be with any resentments or F you energy. It would just be a natural falling away.
So much of this work of divine union internally and externally is about learning to be with your scared, unworthy, abandoned, unloved, triggered, defensive, nasty, critical, resentful, punishing, judgmental, etc ones and taking responsibility for them.
I know responsibility is a dirty word for some people. They hate it. They think it’s patronizing and un-fun.
But when I say it I truly mean: the ability to respond.
I think of it as staying conscious and having agency over ourselves.
And to me, that is the most exciting, juicy thing.
Freedom to me is a turn on and freedom and the ability to respond are synonymous.
Divine union is where and how miracles happen.
It is the right relationship of the two principle forces of the universe.
Life itself flows from there.
Come to the discussion my husband, and deeply devoted spiritual practice partner, and I are holding July 4th (freedom!!!) at 9-11am PST: Divine Union, but make it practical, where we will be discussing divine union from this lens.
It’s free. If you can’t come live; register and we’ll send out the recording after.
